This policy explains what the Consistency app, and in particular its Desks feature (the "consistency-desks" Google sign-in), does with information, including information it receives from Google.
What Desks is
Desks lets a small group of traders share one chart: drawings, trade plans and short messages. The desk software runs on each member's own computer. Each member can choose to keep a copy of their desk history in their own Google Drive.
What we access in your Google account
- Desks asks for one Google permission only: access to the Google Drive files that Desks itself creates (Google's "drive.file" permission).
- Desks cannot see, open, list or change any other file in your Google Drive, and it does not read your email, contacts, calendar or any other Google data.
- Desks does not ask for your name, email address or profile.
What is stored, and where
- Desk history (the drawings, plans and messages shared at your desks) is encrypted on your computer before it is uploaded, and stored as files in your own Google Drive. The file names are random-looking and reveal nothing about the desk or its members.
- The sign-in that lets Desks write those files is stored encrypted on your own computer.
- We do not operate a server that receives, stores or reads your Google data or your desk history.
What Google can see
Google cannot read the content of your desk history, because it is encrypted. Like any files in Google Drive, Google can see when files are created or changed, and their sizes. From that timing, Google could infer which Google accounts share a desk, how many members are active, when each posts, and when a computer is switched on.
How we use and share information
- Information received from Google is used only to store and read back your own desk history, for you and for the members of your desks.
- We do not sell it, share it with third parties, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
- Consistency's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Desk history stays in your Google Drive until you delete it there. You can delete the files at any time.
- You can stop Desks' access at any time: unlink it from the Doorman on your computer (which revokes the sign-in with Google and deletes it from your computer), or remove the app's access at myaccount.google.com (Security, Third-party access).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
